NIKšA BRATOš

Nikša Bratoš is one of Croatia’s most respected music producers, arrangers, composers, and sound engineers, with a career spanning more than four decades. He has contributed as a producer, arranger, musician, or composer to over 200 albums, working with many of the biggest names in the regional music scene, including Oliver Dragojević, Gibonni, Zdravko Čolić, Toše Proeski, Damir Urban, Dino Merlin, Petar Grašo, Massimo Savić, Parni Valjak, Crvena Jabuka, Majke, and many others. Beyond record production, Bratoš has composed and produced music for film, television, and theatre, while also pioneering the production of live music broadcasts on Croatian national television. He led the music production teams behind numerous flagship TV shows, including The Voice Croatia, Dancing with the Stars, and A strana, significantly raising the standard of live television music production in the country.

A multiple recipient of the prestigious Porin Awards, Bratoš has won more than 40 awards across categories including Producer of the Year, Arrangement, Recording, Classical Production, and Album of the Year. He served for many years as President of the Croatian Musicians' Union and currently serves as President of the Croatian Association for the Protection of Performers' Rights (HUZIP). Since 2008, he has also been teaching sound design and music production at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb, mentoring new generations of music professionals.
